Mise-en-scene: Magazine Analysed

Meaning:
The arrangement of everything that looks on the framing – characters, lighting, decoration, props, and angle – is called Mise-en-scene, a French word that means “placing on stage.” This is effective because it can make a simple picture show what mood; atmosphere or meaning it is showing.
